You inspire me!
I went home from our remarkable rehearsal Thursday night thinking about all the great band literature you are aspiring to! As I showered the next morning, Shostakovich’s Festive Overture kept running through my mind. (I apologize for that picture.) I think the Finale to Shostakovich’s 5th Symphony is also a possibility for the future, some Holsinger and also more Grainger. We are beginning to scratch the surface of the Great Band List! (I’m going to order Grainger’s Shepherd’s Hey today.)
