Dear friends,

COMMUNITY MARKET CONCERT was outstanding. We played so well in tune which I tribute to the emphasis on Balance Chords. Balance Chords is a simple procedure that pays off well and YOU are hitting a stride. You’re tuning as we go.

BAND DIRECTORS-with 34 of my 40 years as an assistant marching band director, nobody knows more than me about the time it takes, the stress, and the exhaustion. I know you can’t make all our Thursday night rehearsals right now, but consider coming occasionally. Some directors are. Let Thursday night Pops be your escape. I’ll make all the band decisions and you can just relax and "play."

The band received 2 promises for $1500 donations from city businesses! So we have sponsors for the Christmas Concert and the Spring Concert. We only need a sponsor for the Sousa Centennial Concert at the Academy. We’re asking $2500 for this one.

We had a marvelous rehearsal last Thursday! We only worked on 3 songs but hit the details. And a good time was had by all!

MY APOLOGIES to Katie Partridge, trombonist. I forgot to introduce you! I will introduce you to the band this Thursday.
