You are listening to what you’re playing and adjusting pitch as needed. The way you held onto the slower temp for Mary Did You Know shows a maturing band on the rise!
I am currently in Chicago at the Midwest Clinic with some 18,000 professional musicians from all over the world. I’m hearing some great bands and and going to how to presentations. In a few minutes I’ll be observing an Alex Kaminsky workshop. He’s the director of bands at Vandercook College and he’ll be talking about enhancing the very things you are doing superbly. You challenge me to be better so I’m going to challenge you when we resume on January 9. Within the next week you’ll have access to our selections for “From Stage and Screen.”
