Good morning friends!
I can’t say enough what a joyful thing it is to make music with you. You inspire me. I am often looking forward to future concerts and considering what wonderful music to play.
Remember that Thursday’s rehearsal will be at The New Covenant School 122 Fleetwood Drive Lynchburg 24501. Please remember I have asked for an extra 15 minutes (7pm-8:45pm) As you enter the building, take an immediate left turn and follow the signs to the gym where Monty will have everything set up.
It will be our final rehearsal before the concert so we are going to focus on two things…
1. integrating the singers on The Music Man and United States Armed Forces Salute
2. Runthrough of the program for timing
Going forward, if there is any music you need to get under your fingertips please work on it now. By the concert, if there’s any part of the music you’re still struggling with, don’t play it but fake it visually. It’s okay. (Sometimes I have turned too many pages in the score, then trying to recover, I’ll flip too many pages going back thereby getting lost from the music. I find that if I keep waving the stick, the band keeps going, but I look great doing it.)
