Ready to make history? March 1, 2023 and the Sousa Spectacular is nearly upon us.
Important Information
1. Remember to get your black shirt, blouse, dress, slacks, pants, socks shoes
2. Read, copy, print, put it in your folder…
3:30 pm meet at E.C.Glass to pick up percussion instruments
4:15 pm arrive at the Academy loading dock to unload instruments and begin setting up the stage
5:00 pm Band and Singers ready to begin rehearsal
6:15 pm Dinner Break
7:15 pm line up ready to get on stage
7:30 pm make some history
3. Percussion Instruments . We still need 1-2 more people to help with pick-up, set-up, tear-down and delivery from and back to E.C. Glass High School. Please see Steve Williams or Steve Burkett or respond to this email at lynchburgpops
4. Market at Main will provide Ham or Turkey sandwiches and chips and the band will provide water. The band will pay for this plus tax and tip. IF YOU ARE SO INCLINED, you may help defray the $9 per person cost by tossing in some $ in a small box the next few weeks.
5. The Academy will open up the upper balcony for the students of LPCB participating band directors for a reduced cost of $5. With fees and taxes this will come to about $9.40
The upper balcony will be opened up to the general public when the lower house has reached 500 tickets sold for $10/ ticket plus fees (approx $15)
6. Parking and entrance the night of the concert. Please park in the LG, (Lynchburg Grand Hotel) parking garage across from the theater and go in through the front doors. Someone should be there to let you in by around 4:30. If not, call me at 540-454-0201
